Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the Quant.ai software application ("Application") developed by Quant.ai. The Application is a stock research and analysis app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

The Application does not require users to create an account or provide personal information such as name, email, or phone number.

Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase a subscription (Quant.ai Pro), your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details such as credit card numbers. Apple and Google may share limited purchase information with us, such as whether you have an active subscription and your subscription type, solely for the purpose of providing you with the correct features.

Automatically Collected Information

The Application itself does not directly collect personal data such as your IP address, device identifiers, or usage patterns.

However, the Application uses third-party services that may automatically collect certain information:

  • Advertising: The free version of the Application displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use information about your device and ad interactions, including device identifiers, IP address, and browsing behavior, in order to serve relevant advertisements. This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Analytics: The Application may use third-party analytics services to help us understand usage patterns and improve the Application. These services may collect anonymized usage data such as app opens, feature usage, and crash reports.

Quant.ai Pro subscribers who have ad-free access are not subject to data collection by third-party ad networks.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

The Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Third-party ad networks and analytics providers may collect information as described above. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal information to third parties for purposes unrelated to the operation of the Application.

What are my opt-out rights?

  • Ads and Ad Tracking: You can limit ad tracking through your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads. You may also upgrade to Quant.ai Pro to remove all third-party advertising.
  • Analytics: You may disable analytics collection through your device's privacy settings where applicable.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The Application stores user settings, favorites, and preferences locally on your device by default. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless you choose to enable optional cross-device sync.

Optional Cloud Sync (Firebase): The Application offers an optional feature to sync your favorite tickers across devices using Google Firebase. This feature is opt-in only and must be explicitly enabled by you within the Application. If you enable sync, your list of favorite tickers is transmitted to and stored on Firebase servers solely for the purpose of syncing across your devices. You can disable sync at any time in the app settings, which will stop future data transmission. Firebase's data handling is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

If you delete the Application, locally stored data will be removed. Any data stored in Firebase as a result of enabling sync is governed by Google's data retention policies.

Brokerage Connections (Optional)

The Application may offer an optional feature allowing you to connect a brokerage account through a third-party aggregator (SnapTrade) to automatically track your holdings. This feature is opt-in only.

If you choose to connect a brokerage account:

  • The connection is read-only — Quant.ai cannot place, modify, or cancel trades.
  • Quant.ai never sees or stores your brokerage login credentials. Authentication is handled entirely by SnapTrade and your broker.
  • Quant.ai may receive read-only access to your account balances, positions, and transaction history solely for the purpose of displaying your portfolio within the Application.
  • You can disconnect your brokerage at any time within the Application or directly from your broker's settings.

SnapTrade's data handling is governed by SnapTrade's Privacy Policy.

Children

The Application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Since the Application primarily stores data locally on your device, the security of that data is largely dependent on the security of your device. Please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the collection and use of information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
